Azulle Byte 3 Review

The popularity of Mini PCs has expanded since these are extremely small and cost-efficient compact devices. These little units are perfect media centers that can run YouTube, Netflix, Kodi, Hulu, and every other program that a regular desktop and laptop can. While these devices can be used as a classic computer, most people utilize these to stream content into a television; this will give you hours of continuous streaming possibilities.

Today, we’re going to focus on the Azulle Byte 3 Mini PC that can play 4K videos at 60 frames per second; but aside from this, let’s see what other things this mini PC has in store for us.

Azulle Byte 3 Review – What’s in the Box?

When we received our Azulle Byte 3, it came in a simple blue package which was nice and appealing to the eyes. At the top of the box, you’ll easily see the company and product’s name written on it, as well as an image of the device itself.

Beneath the box, you’ll find another image of the Azulle Byte 3 but this time, it includes the device’s key features for your reference. Additionally, you will also find the company’s social media accounts written on the package which is necessary if you need to contact them for any inquiries and concerns.

Once you open the box, you’ll find another box, accessories, and the Azulle Byte 3 itself. The smaller box contains the remote control, a power adaptor, and screws for the hard drive. Other items that are present in the box include stickers and an instruction manual that will guide you when setting up the device.

Azulle Byte 3 Review – The Perfect Media Center

The Azulle Byte 3 is a mini PC which means that it should be plugged to a monitor or television to get a display. The device supports both HDMI and VGA; plus, you can even run dual-monitors with the Azulle Byte 3 if you make use of both ports. Just remember that you will need to supply your choice of mouse and keyboard, or whatever form-factor you have in mind.

We like the design of the unit since it features a mix of aluminum and plastic; it gives a feel of durability and efficiency while keeping the weight of the Byte 3 down. We also noticed that it’s the size of a wall-powered router or external hard drive, so you won’t really have any issues finding the perfect spot to position it. The Azulle Byte 3 also has a little antenna right at the back which sticks upright to give you a seamless Wi-Fi experience; the device also has rubberized feet to keep it from sliding.

You’ll also find a nicely-made blue stripe design that goes across the front portion of the Byte 3, enveloping the Azulle logo which can be found at the center of the device; the logo is also the power button used to boot the system. If you look at the bottom-right portion of the device, you’ll find the Byte 3 logo while the IR receiver can be seen at the bottom-left. The left side of the unit features the grille where all the hot air passes; the right side is where you’ll find the input options which include two USB ports (one 2.0 and 3.0) and an SD card slot.

Now let’s look at the back portion of the device: you’ll find the rest of your inputs and outputs in this area which gives you all the essentials of a modern PC. Starting from the left side, you’ll see the headphone jack and a lock slot for the laptop; this is to secure the device if you’re planning to use it in your office or an open show floor. Next, you’ll find two more 3.0 USB ports, an HDMI output, an ethernet input, one VGA port, a 3.1 USB Type-C, and an input for the power cable.

The Azulle Byte 3 Mini PC is specifically made to keep up with the needs of users who prefer working with mini PCs for their multiple tasks. The company powers their Byte 3 with the 64-bit Quad Core, Apollo-Lake processor from Intel, making the device lighter and more powerful. It also utilizes a VGA or HDMI port, allowing you to connect the unit to a monitor or TV.

With the 4k at 60FPS, you can easily stream Amazon Prime, Netflix, and YouTube, or utilize Microsoft Office to fulfill any school, business, or leisure task. The Azulle Byte 3 is also a very lightweight device that is functional, fast, and easy to use; we also liked that it’s more affordable compared to its competitors. Lastly, the Byte 3 is also run by the Windows 10 Pro operating system.

The Byte 3 features an advanced mini PC technology – the newest innovation that the company integrated into their line. It has a processor that is faster and more powerful compared to its predecessor which makes it a more effective device.

The device also has a Media Center that lets you enjoy YouTube, Netflix, and other similar video services; plus, you can also browse files or play music using the device. If you have a webcam, you can link this to your Byte 3 then install the software of choice to have a video conferencing hub right in your living room. Just set your webcam on top of your TV and you’re all set to make video calls on your big screen.

Since it works just like a regular PC, you can easily share documents with co-workers or friends; you can also make photos or other files accessible to everyone at home. One of the most notable features of the Byte 3 is its Digital Signage capability; for us, we think that it’s cool for the device to send alternating images and words to LCD, LED, and plasma displays or kiosks to target certain market segments with personalized messages.

Let’s talk about the performance of this Azulle Byte 3. We’ve spent a lot of time with the device so we were able to get comfortable with its controls and how it works. Its initial boot right out of the box took less than forty seconds before it reached the first configuration screen. The first screen is your usual Windows 10 setup where you’ll select your language, keyboard layout, etc. The desktop will appear after; here, we allowed Windows to do its regular update check to ensure that it has all the latest upgrades before we start testing the Byte 3.

The first we tried was regular browsing: we had to check if it could handle multiple Chrome tabs open without anything slowing down. We opened a total of ten tabs and things seemed to be working well so that was good. YouTube was stutter-free and responsive, so we really liked that. Once that was done, we started testing the gameplay: surprisingly, games ran pretty well and it even provided us with a 1080p resolution; we also watched a ton of videos and got the same resolution.

Overall, the Azulle Byte 3’s performance was excellent so Azulle’s getting two-thumbs up for this.

For a mini PC, the Byte 3 from Azulle is a perfect device. You can enjoy some light gaming via Stream, and you can also install anything you want, thanks to the full Windows 10 that makes the device run; additionally, you also aren’t restricted to just a single app store.

For a computing device, the included remote is okay but it would be better to add your own mouse and keyboard to make it an even better device. For a lot of people, this mini PC is enough to complete all the tasks that they need; so if you’re looking for an efficient and compact mini PC, then we suggest the Azulle Byte 3 to you.
