AMD just produced and introduced their performance X-470 chipset together with the new and improved Ryzen 2000 series of processors. At the same time, AMD also spoke of the B450 chipset which is designed for the average systems where price is generally a concern.

B450 AORUS Pro Review – What’s in the Box?

When we received the B450 AORUS Pro, it came in a decent-looking yet very sturdy and durable box. You will see the usual high-end branding of the company and excellent protection for the motherboard during transit.

Using the Product

When it comes to overclocking with the B450 AORUS Pro, we found this a bit tricky since a manual voltage control wasn’t present. Yet despite this, it still functioned with ease through all of our benchmarks; so all in all, we entirely had no issues when we attempted with overclocking.

Temperature, Speed Rates, and Audio Performance

Just like when we tested the overclocking performance, we didn’t have issues when it came to its temperature, audio, and speed rates.

There weren’t any hints of problems with controlling in any of our benchmarks, and when it’s about the stock speed, the B450 AORUS Pro was able to avail itself perfectly and even matching the other boards that we’ve tested. We were able to see the board match other boards as well, and with read and write speeds of about 3,405 MB/s and 1,882 MB/s.

For the audio performance, it was something that we were quite expecting for the Realtek ALC-1229 codec. It was better and more efficient compared to those utilized in other motherboards.

Overall Performance

Generally, with its looks, performance, audio features and overclocking options, this is definitely a great motherboard to invest in. It’s pretty good stuff. Although overclocking was a bit tricky due to the lack of manual Voltage control, we still didn’t experience any problems with this.

The motherboard also stayed cool so we didn’t have issues with temperature rates. Audio was perfectly fine and when it came to the speed rates, these were all really fast so we actually enjoyed our experience with this motherboard. All in all, the B450 AORUS Pro is not just all about the looks; it also offers excellent performance that was beyond what we expected.

HDMI and 4K Ultra HD Support

The B450 AORUS Pro motherboard also supports HDMI and 4K Ultra HD interfaces. HDMI, or High-Definition Multimedia Interface, provides up to 5 Gbps of video transmitting bandwidth, as well as 8-channel high-definition audio with only one cable.
