  • 1x USB charging cable
  • 1x user guide

The Product

The Logitech G533 – Cord-free and Amazing Sound. Nice!

The G533 has a sleek and professional design. It has a pair of mesh ear cups, lightweight body, and a comfortable headband. The robust Logitech Pro-G drivers have made their return with this model. Its ear cups has a glossy design with Logitech’s “G” symbol.

Its left ear cup contains a built-in mic extending with a flexible arm. It also comes with a volume wheel and a programming button.

Hardware inputs with the headset are kept in a simple manner. It basically sticks to a minimal volume roller, a power switch, and a programming button. The “G” button can be defaulted to mute. A small LED can be found on the headset donating its charging progress and power.

The G533 operates wirelessly via it’s provided USB dongle which you simply need to plug into your PC.

The part where the Logitech G533 excels most is its equalization options and quality surround sound. The DTS 7.1 surround sound can either be set to default or assigned via Logitech-specific profiles. This can either be in a wide or front configuration.

Options that come with equalization include Cinematic Gaming, FPS, MOBA, and a host of others. All are properly nuanced and offers the right solution to just about any PC game available.

Its built-in mic mixes a “silky” voice pickup with its pre-installed pop filter that eradicate the harshness often heard in the “p” and “s” sounds.

The headphone’s mic can easily tucked away on the left ear cup portion if it’s not needed.  It can be folded down if a user intends to communicate with other gamers in the middle of gameplay. Unlike other headsets with retracting mics and their cords, having a wireless headset like the G533 prevents the user from awkwardly positioning the mic in the wrong places.

When it comes to its wireless capability, it does what it says on the tin. It has an average battery life of 16 hours per charge and a range of approximately 30 feet. It’s a robust wireless headset that does its job really well.

Comfort – Probably the Most Important Aspect of a Good Headset

One of the most important aspects of the gaming headset it comfort. I mean, if you are going to sit for hours gaming it needs to be comfortable for the long haul. When wearing the Logitech G533 I did not experience any forms of discomfort, in fact I pretty much forgot I was using it.

Thanks to the great design, even though the headset is quite weighty the weight is distributed evenly through the G533 which means that the weight is not sitting and any one point of the product.

The fabric mesh ear cups are nice and soft which helps relieve any pressure from the headset pressing on your ears. The mesh material also stopped the ears from getting hot and sweaty which is a welcome addition.

The Sound… The Wonderful Sound!

So, what can we say about the sound quality of the Logitech G533? Does WOW work for you? The sound on these beasts is amazing. Thanks to the headset making use of DTS Headphone:X which simulates 7.1 surround sound PC gaming is so much more immersive.

The immersion that is created when you hear everything that is going on around you in game is fantastic. Hearing shells going off around you along with the bombing raids going on overhead whilst your squad tried to make a push forward in Battlefield 1 is just astounding.

Obviously one of the key benefits of a headset for gaming is the ability to be able to chat with your team mates in real time and thankfully this is also something that Logitech has got right with the G533 wireless headset.

The microphone is extendable from the left ear cup and can be retracted when not in use meaning you can easily use the headset for listening to music or watching movies. The microphone sound quality is brilliant is crystal clear to those that you are speaking to.

Software

With the use of Logitech’s gaming software, a user can program audio profiles into the G533 (those that fully app dependent). Basically, if you want to configure certain settings for a PC game and everything else that you desire in a Spotify listening session, the user will only have to switch between the two apps, and its software will make up the difference automatically.

Although it was possible setting up separate listening profiles previously, getting the G533 to automatically do this on its own after setup is one of its biggest selling points.
